We are seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Operative to join our dynamic team.

Role Summary

The Logistics Operative will be responsible for carrying out tasks across all areas – goods-in, materials handling, warehousing, storing packing and distribution.

You will be part of continuous improvement projects focusing on customer satisfaction, cost reduction, on-time performance and process efficiency improvements.

You will liaise with and support internal departments and external customers with their logistics requirements and ensure they are dealt with in a timely, professional and efficient manner.

What you’ll be doing

You will carry out a range of duties flexibly across all logistics areas, whilst being responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and others in line with our EHS policies and procedures. You will complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner in line with operational procedures and ERP processes. You will help maintain good 6S standards across the team and utilise lean methodology to optimise our processes, whilst ensuring compliance with all applicable ISO standards i.e. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001.

Skills/Experience:

This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role

Strong previous experience of working within logistics including materials handling, packing, warehousing, storage and distribution of goods

Good communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse group of people

Flexible, can-do attitude with high motivation to complete tasks to a high standard

Previous exposure to lean manufacturing principles

Competence and confidence in the use of relevant IT packages including Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Experience of investigations into non-conformance and root cause analysis
