St Austell Golf Club is seeking an ambitious and passionate Head Chef to lead and develop our food offering.
Located on a beautiful James Braid-designed golf course, we cater for a thriving membership, visiting golfers, society days, and a varied calendar of functions and events. Following valuable member feedback, we are investing in the quality and consistency of our catering operation, creating an exciting opportunity for a chef who wants to make a genuine impact.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the kitchen, including menu development, stock control, food costing, team leadership, and maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and compliance.
This role encompasses daily clubhouse catering, member events, society days, weddings, wakes, and private functions, providing a varied and rewarding working environment.
What we offer:
- £31,000 - £34,000 salary (DOE)
- Performance bonus potential
- Approximately 40 hours per week (5 days from 7)

Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous Head Chef experience, or be a strong Sous Chef ready to step up
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Strong food costing and GP management experience
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (minimum)
