- Communicating with trustees to ensure good governance
- Interviewing and auditioning staff and freelance actors

Clarifications on Director Role: (updated 24th June)
1. The successful candidate will initially be appointed as Deputy Director for a six-month transition period. At the end of that period, subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement, it is intended that they will move into the Director role.
2. This role will require a DBS check and Safeguarding Training, to be provided by Oddments. We also require proof of the right to work in the UK.
3. The working pattern will generally be normal office hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, based from our office in Yeovil. However, flexibility is required for occasional evening or weekend work (e.g. trustee meetings, prison shows or church visits to raise support), travel and overnight stays (e.g. conferences) and longer periods of touring. The amount of touring will depend to some extent on the way in which the new Director decides to run the charity and manage staff. As Deputy Director, they will be required to tour with the team, to get a good understanding of our work. Travelling and touring is likely to involve driving company vehicles.
4. Salary will depend on experience, and we intend a slight increase during the move between the roles of Deputy Director and Director, but both salaries will be in the banding suggested (£28000 - £31000).
