Johnson Elevanja Limited is seeking a flexible skilled Quality Control Technician / Stock Controller initially to lead our ISO9001:2015 certification journey and thereafter to ensure that all industrial brake components and finished products meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements by perform inspections, tests, and audits throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product reliability, safety, and compliance, whilst also overseeing inventory management to ensure the efficient flow of raw materials and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Lead ISO9001 Certification process, generate appropriate procedures required.
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished industrial brake products.
Perform dimensional, mechanical, and functional testing using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing rigs.
Verify products against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality control standards.
Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, and non-conformances.
Collaborate with production teams to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and test documentation.
Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing quality.
Calibrate and maintain testing and measuring equipment.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Monitor production processes to ensure consistent adherence to established quality protocols.
Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, brake components, consumables, and finished goods.
Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory to ensure accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Organize and manage warehouse storage to ensure efficient stock handling and accessibility.
Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic physical inventory audits.
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variances.
Issue materials to production teams according to approved requisitions and production schedules.
Maintain accurate inventory records using stock control systems and manual documentation where required.
Track stock movement and prepare regular inventory status reports for management.
Coordinate with procurement and production departments to forecast stock requirements and prevent shortages.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of industrial brake materials and components.
Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock and recommend corrective action.
Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures, health and safety standards, and warehouse best practices.
Diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Supply Chain or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing, preferably in industrial braking systems, automotive components, or heavy engineering.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measurement tools.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
Proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
