We are an established owner-managed hospitality business based in Lincolnshire, operating a successful hotel, restaurant, function and events business together with luxury lodges. The business has a strong local reputation and an experienced long-standing team.
We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller / Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance function and support the owners with timely financial reporting and commercial analysis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a varied and autonomous role within a stable and growing business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the owners, you will take responsibility for the smooth running of the finance department and management of two part-time finance assistants.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Profit & loss reporting and departmental analysis
- Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
- Payroll oversight and processing
- VAT returns and HMRC compliance
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supplier payments and banking
- Monitoring labour costs and margins
- Supporting operational management with financial information
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Liaison with external accountants at year end
- Reviewing and improving finance processes and controls
About You
The successful candidate will be:
- Experienced in a similar finance role within hospitality, hotels, leisure or an SME environment
- Confident producing monthly management accounts
- Hands-on, practical and highly organised
- Experienced with payroll and day-to-day finance operations
- Commercially aware with good attention to detail
- Comfortable managing and supporting a small finance team
- Strong in Excel and accounting systems

Hospitality experience would be highly advantageous.
