Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Support specialist to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure. In this role, you will provide essential technical assistance to users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain network stability. Your enthusiasm for problem-solving and excellent communication skills will drive your success as you support a diverse range of IT systems and contribute to a productive work environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical expertise while making a tangible impact on daily operations.

Responsibilities

Deliver prompt and effective technical support to end-users via help desk platforms, including ServiceNow and Jira, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
Troubleshoot computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with software troubleshooting across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Configure and maintain network components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to ensure secure connectivity.
Support the setup, deployment, and maintenance of computer hardware and operating systems for new employees or equipment upgrades.
Document incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities accurately in ticketing systems like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for transparency and continuous improvement.
Communicate clearly with users to explain technical issues in an understandable manner while providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts.
Familiarity with troubleshooting software issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, and LAN configurations.
Hands-on experience with computer hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in using ticketing tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira for incident management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with Microsoft Office applications, operating system installation/configuration, remote support tools, and familiarity with Help Desk best practices.
