Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role provides key financial stewardship and business partnering support across a diverse portfolio of stakeholders.

This role requires a balance of commercial insight, analytical rigour, and proactive engagement, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
Key responsibilities and activities include:
Asset Management - Finance:
· Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, and cash flow management.
· Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
· Support compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
· Prepare the annual Statutory Financial Statements for Group (IFRS) and Subsidiaries (FRS101)
· Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
· Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls.
· Partner with operational teams to align financial planning with business objectives.
· Provide meaningful financial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business.
· Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.
· Advise the Head of Finance on financial planning, risk, and investment opportunities.
· Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes.
· Maintain a hands-on approach to delivery.
Asset Reporting:
· Review and challenge monthly and quarterly reports prepared internally and from client assets.
· Provide insight, variance analysis, and commentary to support reporting outputs.
· Review and challenge annual budgets and ad hoc financial updates.
· Maintain and update asset valuation models.
· Review financial statements, distribution papers, and other ad hoc reports.
· Support financial reporting and analysis across client portfolios.
· Assist with external audits.
· Liaise with and oversee external Company Secretarial providers.
General Finance Responsibilities
· Preparation and support with financial modelling and presentations as required.
· Provide financial review, analysis and insight to support the team as required.
· Support the maintenance of and improvements to a robust control environment.
· Provide cover for the Head of Finance as required.
· Participate in XceCo team meetings as required.
· Service ad-hoc meetings, email and phone requests.
· Maintain relevant CPD as required.
· Identify, recommend and implement system process improvements.
Essential Skills
· Qualified accountant with several years’ professional experience.
· Analytically excellent with a ‘questioning’ mentality to all analysis and reporting produced.
· Flexibility to adapt to fresh challenges and successfully deliver ad-hoc financial projects.
· Strong relationship-builder both internally and externally.
· Ability to translate complex topics into simple analysis and presentations.
· Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
· Ability to leverage financial systems and processes to efficiently provide information to the business.
· Controls focused – applies suitable policies, procedures, and controls to manage business risk.
· Effective communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Right to work within the UK.
Desirable Skills
· Experience or knowledge from the renewable energy sector.
· Exposure to engineering environment and ability to grasp engineering principles, relevant to renewables assets.
· Understanding of renewable asset operations and financial drivers.
· Available for occasional travel on work-related business throughout the UK.

Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
