JOB TITLE: Service Co-ordinator
HOURS OF WORK: 37 hrs (full-time)
SALARY: £34,055.92 (Annual)
Location: CATH Community Hub, Ladeside, Perth and Kinross (working across CATH city centre premises as required)
Are you an experienced, compassionate and organised Service Co-ordinator with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable people to achieve positive outcomes? CATH is looking for a Community Hub Service Co-ordinator to help lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of our Community Hub service. In this key role, you will contribute to the management and delivery of high-quality support that promotes independence, health and wellbeing, active citizenship and choice. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, partner organisations and service users to ensure people accessing the Hub are supported to develop and work towards personal goals, including in relation to health, welfare, recovery and employability.
About the Role
As Community Hub Service Co-ordinator, you will co-ordinate the delivery of Hub outcomes and objectives within budget constraints, support the staff team, and develop strong partnerships with community groups, third sector organisations, local authority teams and health and social care departments. You will also play an important role in ensuring robust risk assessments, safe systems of work, support plans, monitoring reports and service delivery plans are in place, while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and positive outcomes for Community Hub participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the delivery of Community Hub outcomes, objectives and service delivery plans.
- Support vulnerable service users to access services, activities and support that help them achieve their personal goals.
- Provide support, supervision and guidance to Community Hub staff and volunteers. o Develop effective working relationships with community groups, third sector partners, local authority teams and health and social care services.
- Ensure risk assessments, safe systems of work and support plans are completed, monitored and reviewed.
- Support the facilitation of community-based recovery services for people experiencing addictions.
- Prepare monitoring reports, written reports and records required by CATH and relevant partners.
- Contribute to rota planning, staff cover and operational leadership across services. o Support compliance with relevant policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Provide on-call support (rota’d) in a flexible manner supporting CATH’s accommodation service as required.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of safe practice, professional boundaries, confidentiality and high-quality record keeping. Essential and desirable knowledge, skills and experience are noted below:
Essential
- Registration with the SSSC or a willingness to become registered including completion of required training (funded).
- Understanding of the welfare system with knowledge and experience of supporting people with welfare entitlements.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting people facing homelessness and housing challenges.
- Experience working in an open environment with vulnerable members of the public who may be in crisis.
- Experience supporting individuals experiencing drug and/or alcohol addiction.
- The ability to motivate and organise people and resources to deliver high quality services.
- The ability to work within an agreed budget managing expenditure within agreed limits.
- Competence in Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and general IT.
- The ability to develop services considering the desired outcomes and how these can be achieved o Good written and verbal skills including listening.
- Experience of working collaboratively with community, third sector or public sector agencies.
- Trauma informed practice trained.
- The post holder is required to be a member of the PVG scheme (adults).
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Medication Assisted Treatment Standards for Scotland.
- SMART recovery trained.
- Trained in Naloxone administration.
- Knowledge of the SSSC Codes of Practice and National Care Standards.
