Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, card payments, and refunds
- Maintain organised and attractive merchandise displays, ensuring products are well-presented
- Upsell products and promotions to maximise sales opportunities
- Provide information about products and services, answering customer queries effectively
- Keep the checkout area clean and tidy throughout the shift
- Manage stock levels on the shop floor and report low inventory items to management
- Handle phone enquiries professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette
- Assist in organising promotional events or sales campaigns as required
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure smooth checkout processes during busy periods
- Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are desirable for serving diverse customer bases

Pay: £24,420.00-£46,703.14 per year
