Overview
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused qualified Dispenser to join our friendly and supportive team at Spilsby Surgery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients, whilst delivering a high standard of customer service and patient care.
Applicants must hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Dispensing or Pharmacy Services (or an equivalent recognised qualification) and have a good understanding of dispensing processes and medicines management.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label and dispense prescribed medications in line with practice procedures and legal requirements.
- Provide a professional and friendly service to patients, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and support the safe management of medicines.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and monitoring of medication supplies.
- Liaise with GPs and other members of the practice team to resolve prescription queries.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and compliant dispensary environment.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Dispensing, Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a dispensing practice, pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
