Full job description

We have a vacancy for a full time legal receptionist and property sales assistant based in Kelso. As the first point of contact with the public the successful applicant will require to have a welcoming and friendly manner and good communication skills. IT skills are essential since the job involves a high degree of computer use. We are seeking a proactive and conscientious individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task. You should be able to deal comfortably with people both face to face and on the telephone. The candidate should have an interest in Estate Agency and be keen to pro-actively engage with improving our service to clients and developing this side of the business.

The duties involved in this post include:

Meeting and greeting clients, providers, and other professional connections attending the office
Answering the telephone with professionalism and courtesy, making an accurate record of the times of the call and passing them to the relevant member of staff
Dealing with enquiries about properties on the market with us and marketing and viewing arrangements for these properties
Undertaking property viewings
Estate agency tasks, taking photographs, preparing sales particulars, keeping websites and social media up to date, instructing home reports etc.
Using our computer based diary system to make and update appointments for all our services on offer
Collecting, processing and delivering mail
Assisting with the client onboarding process and ID requirements
Filing, scanning, photocopying and preparation of documents
Taking payments from clients
Errands for the office
Keeping the reception tidy
Supporting the team with any additional administrative duties as required

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Occasionally property viewings may need to be accommodated out with these hours and on weekends.

We offer 25 days holidays per year, along with 7 public holidays determined by the firm.

We offer a contributory staff pension scheme after a 3 months probationary period.

Pay: From £12.95 per hour
