Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of premises , staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. The Security Officer will play a vital part in maintaining a secure environment through diligent observation and effective communication.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
Conduct bag searches at entry points.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and managing access points.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, by providing first aid if necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
Enforce company policies and procedures related to security protocols.
Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries in a courteous manner.

Skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
Basic first aid knowledge with the ability to provide initial assistance when needed.
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clear reporting and interaction with team members.
Organised and responsible with a professional demeanour at all times. Pay: £13.45-£14.00 per hour
