Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bricklayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials.This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in masonry and related trades to contribute to high-quality building projects.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to technical drawings and specifications
- Mix mortar accurately and apply it effectively to ensure durable joints
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to execute masonry work with precision
- Operate power tools including mixers, drills, and saws safely and effectively
- Assist with the installation of roofing structures where necessary
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for various projects
- Assist with general site preparation and clean-up tasks as required
Skills
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or related construction trades
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow instructions diligently
