Overview

Alba Network Support Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver & Off-Road Vehicle Operator to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining heavy goods vehicle driving with the operation of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and plant equipment to support specialist access and transport requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering equipment and supporting operations in remote and challenging environments across Scotland and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to transport equipment and materials
Load and unload vehicles, including the operation of lorry loader (HIAB) cranes where applicable
Operate all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and plant machinery to access remote or off-road locations
Support field operations involving specialist access work
Conduct daily vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Plan routes effectively, adapting to challenging terrain and conditions
Maintain accurate records, including tachograph and delivery documentation
Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and stakeholders

Essential Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Digital tachograph card
Good level of physical fitness for working in demanding environments
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Willingness to travel and occasionally work weekends

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience operating lorry loader (HIAB) cranes
Previous experience or knowledge of plant machinery
Understanding or experience with All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
Relevant ATV or plant certifications (training can be provided)
Experience working in remote, rural, or off-road environments

· Preferable plant knowledge

· Understanding of All Terrain Vehicles. ATV certificates are not essential but are desirable, training could be provided

· Good level of fitness

· Proactive and able to work on your own

· Good customer facing skills
