Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment during overnight hours (10pm-7am on a 4 night on, 4 night off basis). The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanour, and a strong understanding of hospitality standards. This role involves maintaining security, assisting guests, and managing front desk duties in a calm and efficient manner throughout the night shift.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist guests arriving during the night shift, ensuring a warm and professional experience
Manage guest check-ins and check-outs with courteous phone etiquette and personalised service
Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of guests and staff
Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and public spaces during your shift
Record all relevant activities accurately in accordance with hotel procedures
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address any issues promptly
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with guests and colleagues
Previous experience in hotel or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
Ability to remain calm under pressure during late-night hours
Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service excellence is advantageous
