Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Automotive Upholsterer / Vehicle Trimmer to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role working on a wide variety of exciting vehicles, carrying out high-quality upholstery and interior customisation work to the highest standards.
Typical duties include:
- Full interior retrims
- Laser etching and pattern stitching
- Classic and Modern upholstery
- Motorbike upholstery
- Seat repairs , foam repairs and bespoke seat designs
- Headliner replacements and starlight installations
- Dashboard, pillar and trim wrapping
- Pattern making and sewing
- Interior removal and refitting
- Working on bespoke customer projects and one-off builds
- Assisting with other workshop operations when required
As a senior member of the team, you will work alongside our trainee trimmer, helping to guide, mentor and develop their skills. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and is willing to share their knowledge and experience.
Luxury Auto House is a small but rapidly growing business with a close-knit team. While automotive upholstery will be your primary role, there may occasionally be opportunities to assist with other departments including detailing, installations, vehicle customisation and general workshop operations. We value team players who are adaptable, proactive and willing to get involved wherever needed to help deliver exceptional results for our customers.
Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:
- Extensive experience in automotive upholstery or vehicle trimming
- Experience working with leather, Alcantara and automotive trim materials
- Experience using industrial sewing machines and trimming equipment
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- The ability to work independently and maintain high standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to mentor junior staff
- Flexibility to assist across multiple departments when required
- Full UK driving licence preferred
This role is strictly for experienced automotive upholsterers.
Inexperienced applicants will not be considered.
This position is not suitable for trainees, apprentices or applicants without previous automotive upholstery experience.
