Overview

This family-run award winning garden centre is seeking a Retail Assistant to join their team. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they receive the assistance they need while promoting our products effectively.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
Provide knowledgeable information about products and services to enhance customer understanding.
Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed and stocked.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience in visual merchandising is preferred but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls or inquiries when necessary.
A proactive approach to communication, ensuring clarity and understanding with both customers and colleagues.
