Role Overview-
Ipswich Town Foundation is seeking to recruit a full-time Education Outreach Officer to plan, deliver and evaluate targeted intervention programmes within primary and secondary schools across Leiston and Ipswich, as part of our outreach partnership with Sizewell C.
The postholder will deliver structured, outcome-focused sessions under the Premier League Inspires and Premier League Primary Stars programmes. These sessions will be designed to raise aspirations, improve engagement in education, develop life skills and promote sustained positive behaviour change among young people identified as needing additional support.
The role also includes delivering youth engagement and health-focused evening sessions within the community and contributing to the Foundation’s wider objectives.
The role will require flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend work to support youth engagement and community events.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery
- Plan, deliver and evaluate structured intervention programmes aligned with Premier League Inspires and Premier League Primary Stars outcomes and KPIs.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality sessions tailored to the individual needs of targeted pupils in both primary and secondary settings.
- Deliver physical activity, classroom-based and mentoring sessions that promote positive life pathways, employability skills and wellbeing.
- Deliver evening youth engagement and health sessions as required.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Accurately collect, record and input participant data in line with funder and Foundation reporting requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate participant progress against identified outcomes.
- Support the completion of mid-year and end-of-year reports, including contribution to case studies and impact measurement.
- Work with the Primary Education Manager and Education & Employability Officer to monitor and track programme KPIs.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, education staff, partners and community stakeholders.
- Support the engagement and retention of targeted education providers within Premier League programmes.
- Provide appropriate signposting for young people to additional services or provision where required.
- Maintain an agile and adaptable approach to delivery in response to local community needs.
Operational Responsibilities
- Work with the HR & Admin Officer to ensure appropriate staffing for sessions.
- Support budget monitoring in conjunction with the Head of Education and Employability.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality case studies and promotional content that demonstrate programme impact.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures including safeguarding, Health & Safety, Behaviour Management, Equality and Diversity, Data Protection, and Quality Assurance and follow all policies and procedures within the staff handbook.
- To follow and work by all procedures in accordance with the Ipswich Town Foundation.
- To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- To report to Line Manager and attend Ipswich Town Foundation staff meetings when requested.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by Senior Leadership Team
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Ipswich Town Foundation and school safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate safeguarding records and report concerns in line with policy.
- Undertake relevant safeguarding and CPD training as required.
Aims
- Enhancing services and interventions for primary school-aged children in Leiston and Ipswich by harnessing the power of Ipswich Town FC, fostering positive life pathways and raising aspirations.
- Reducing the number of NEET (not in education, employment or training) individuals in Leiston and Ipswich through targeted interventions within secondary schools, leveraging the power of Ipswich Town FC to raise aspirations and enhance young people’s employability.
- Enhance health and wellbeing opportunities in Leiston and Ipswich, fostering a healthier and more cohesive community.
Premier League Inspires specific programme aims:
- Successfully engage targeted education providers to be part of Premier League Inspires.
- Design and deliver programmes for small cohorts of young people identified as needing support by their education setting.
- Plan and deliver careers (or other) events designed for young people.
- Use the sessions to provide support, mentor and guidance to all young people engaging with the programme.
- Provide, where required, relevant signposting to activities or provision outside of the delivered programme.
- Work with programme partners and stakeholders to build positive and mutually beneficial relationships.
- Collect data and participant feedback that can be used to demonstrate and showcase project impact.
Premier League Primary Stars specific programme aims:
- Deliver high-quality PLPS sessions in line with the programme outcomes and KPIs.
- Develop and deliver structured interventions, including physical activity sessions in line with the PLPS outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of PLPS sessions alongside the Primary Education Manager.
- Obtain and analyse data on pupil outcomes and the local needs of each school with the Primary Education Manager.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding and compliance with safeguarding protocols of the school and Ipswich Town Foundation.
- Working with Primary Education Manager to ensure monitor and track PLPS KPIs.
- Contribution towards PLPS mid and end-year reports.
