About The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the production of consolidated timely and accurate monthly Management Reports and Accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards for the Security Business Unit. Including all necessary regional reports for major contracts in the business unit.
Manage 3 regional Finance Business Partners providing clear direction and control in the preparation of monthly reports
Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders by providing financial guidance, analysis, and insights to support business objectives and integration of acquisitions.
Monitor key performance indicators and variance analysis to provide a clear understanding of the drivers of growth to inform and develop both short-term performance and the strategic direction of the business unit.
Develop and maintain effective business partnering relationships across different operational teams.
Collaborate with Operational teams to improve working capital performance, with particular reference to debt and stock management.
Provide effective financial information to the operations of the business to enable visibility of performance and assist with strategies around efficiencies and enhancing profitability.
Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are complete

Preparation of consolidated annual budgets and rolling forecasts to manage the divisional results and expectations across the business.
Use Microsoft Dynamics & Power BI to analyse financial data, create insightful reports, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Support in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for Commercial Finance director and Managing Director/Senior management for monthly board meetings.
Support successful conclusion on annual external audits
Compliance with group finance policy and procedure and establishment of additional policy and procedure as required.

Key working relationships:

Commercial Finance Director & Managing Director
Operational Teams, including Contract Managers & Operations Directors
Other Business Unit finance teams

About You:

Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or Qualified by experience.

Experience of preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Management Accounts
Experience of budgeting and forecasting
Experience of running a team and providing construction development and mentorship
Experience of Facilities Management industry would be desirable.
Commercial acumen, with an ability to interpret numbers and communicate key issues in a concise and clear manner to a range of audiences.
Possessing a high level of attention to detail, but commercially focussed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information.
Engaging client facing capabilities to build and develop relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex financial models.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Able to deal with a fast-paced continually evolving role.
Curious, determined with bags of initiative.
Analytically minded, able to grasp the big picture but also have strong attention to detail when required.
