THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a motivated and pro-active individual to join the scientific team at GMPriority Pharma as a Laboratory Technician. The role is based in our state-of-the-art, Class 7 laboratory and production facility in Coggeshall, Essex.
GMPriority Pharma is a first-class team of industry professionals with over 35 years of combined expertise in liposome technology, commercial liposomal production and liposomal product development & research.
The successful applicant will be an integral part of a dynamic and flexible scientific team and involved in a variety of laboratory and production activities.
Duties and responsibilities include:
1- Support the implementation of the weekly production plans
2- Prepare solutions, buffers, raw material mixtures, and other preparations in accordance with approved SOPs, batch records, and instructions.
3- Apply all processes, methods, SOPs, gowning, hygiene, cleaning, and contamination-control requirements within the cleanroom, filling, preparation, and storage areas.
4- Report any potential or existing non-conformity, deviation, incident, equipment fault, contamination risk, or safety hazard as soon as possible.
5- Take reasonable care of own and others’ safety; cooperate with managers/supervisors in complying with statutory health, safety, GMP, HACCP, and pharmaceutical safety duties; and report incidents, accidents, faults, or hazards.
6- Assist in the promotion of safety training, pharmaceutical safety culture, GMP/HACCP guidelines, and good cleanroom practice during all stages of preparation, storage, and production.
7- Facilitate and support non-conformance, deviation, and incident investigations.
8- Create, review, and update documentation applicable to assigned duties, including preparation records, cleaning records, equipment logbooks, and relevant SOPs.
9- Effectively and safely carry out required duties such as:
a. Preparing solutions and production/laboratory materials.
b. Assembling raw and packaging materials.
c. Weighing, dispensing, and labelling materials.
d. Supporting manufacture of bulk product.
e. Setting up, cleaning, and maintaining laboratory and cleanroom equipment.
f. Supporting filling, packing, and storage activities.
g. Cleaning and sanitising equipment and cleanroom areas after completion.
10- Successfully complete all required training, including GMP/GDP, HACCP, gowning, cleanroom behaviour, safety, equipment use, and relevant SOPs.
11- Any other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the grade.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A-level or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a relevant science subject.
- Proven relevant work experience in a laboratory, cleanroom, production, or technical support environment.
Desired:
- Degree qualified in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or relevant discipline.
- GMP/HACCP, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, or food-production experience.
