Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker / Van Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a love for dogs, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Time management is also key.

Responsibilities

Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and stimulation.
Maintain control of dogs at all times, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.
Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medication if required, and ensuring access to fresh water.
Communicate with management regarding the dog’s behaviour and any concerns that may arise during walks.
Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a tidy environment on walks and at base
Report any unusual behaviour or health issues to management promptly.
Manage heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with larger breeds or carrying supplies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in working with dogs is an advantage but not a necessity.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners if needed .
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for larger dog breeds or equipment.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work both independently and part of a team.
A valid driver's licence is a necessity for travelling between clients' homes.
