About Us
Robin Tacchi Plants is a well-established and respected UK wholesale nursery, supplying high-quality plants to the landscaping industry nationwide.
We’re a friendly, forward-thinking team with big ambitions for the future, and we’re excited to welcome someone who’s eager to grow with us. Whether you’re just starting out in your career or looking to move into a new industry, this could be the opportunity for you.
To support our growing business, we’re looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our Nursery team working to maintain our high plant health standards as our Crop Protection Assistant.
The Crop Protection Assistant works alongside our supervisor to identify pests and diseases, plan and execute timely spray and biological controls, and maintain a high standard of chemical hygiene. The role includes recording and maintaining accurate crop protection records, supporting the wider nursery team, and advocating for plant health across our nursery sites.
About You
We’re looking for someone who’s reliable, enthusiastic, and organised. This role would suit an individual with horticultural knowledge and some transferable experience from a crop protection or maintenance background.
You’ll enjoy working outside, both independently and as part of a team, and you’ll be happy to get involved in different tasks as needed.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
· Have an interest and understanding of basic plant knowledge, pests and diseases
· Are organised and able to manage your time well
· Have strong communication skills
· Are flexible to work across multiple locations
· Have a diligent and attentive way of working to achieve the best results
· Hold a full UK driving licence (or equivalent), an understanding of health and safety, and are ideally qualified in both PA1 and PA6 handling and application of crop protection products.
What We’re Offering
· A full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday, 7.45am–4:00pm)
· A role with some periodic weekend and early shift working
· Ongoing support and training within a friendly team environment
· 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
· Workplace pension
