We are looking for a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Manager who can lead and elevate our security operations function. This is more than a management role—you will shape our cyber defence strategy, guide a growing team of security professionals, and ensure our clients and systems remain protected against emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations Leadership:
Oversee the daily operation of the Security Operations Centre, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
Incident Response Management:
Lead the coordination and resolution of security incidents, ensuring timely investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident review activities.
Team Development:
Manage, mentor, and support SOC Analysts and Security Engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.
Threat Detection & Monitoring:
Drive improvements in threat detection methodologies, alert management processes, threat hunting activities, and security monitoring effectiveness.
Process Improvement:
Develop, document, and refine SOC procedures, playbooks, workflows, and operational standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, clients, and leadership stakeholders to communicate risks, security incidents, and operational performance metrics.
Security Strategy:
Contribute to the development of long-term cyber security initiatives, risk reduction strategies, and operational maturity programs.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in cyber security operations, incident response, or security monitoring environments, including leadership or team management responsibilities.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of SIEM platforms, endpoint security, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, cloud security, network security, and incident response frameworks.
Leadership Skills:
Experience managing technical teams, conducting performance reviews, mentoring staff, and driving operational improvements.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Certifications:
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security+, CEH, or equivalent are highly valued.
Mindset:
You remain calm during high-pressure situations, make informed decisions based on available evidence, and continuously seek opportunities to improve security outcomes.
Pay: £86,525.43-£115,148.18 per year
