Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience in construction-related trades and be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
Repair or replace damaged or worn roofing components
Inspect roofs for damage, leaks, or potential issues and recommend suitable solutions
Work with other trades such as carpenters, plumbers, or electricians as needed during projects
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations
Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and project specifications

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing, carpentry, or related construction trades
Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical systems, and fabrication is advantageous
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
Valid relevant certifications or licences are preferred but not essential
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Commitment to health & safety standards on site
