Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment during their shift. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, mechanical knowledge, and experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The successful applicant will ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes by providing prompt and effective electrical support. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC programmes.
- Repair or replace faulty components to minimise downtime and ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems or upgrades.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and AutoCAD layouts to facilitate maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to resolve complex issues affecting machinery performance.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in accordance with company procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns during shift hours to restore operations swiftly.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and AutoCAD drawings.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for integrated troubleshooting tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Customer service orientation to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights or weekends if required.

Pay: Up to £51,000.00 per year
