As a HSEQ Lead, you will be responsible for health, safety, environment and quality aspects of work delivered through our various contracts. This role leads our local HSEQ team meaning you will be responsible for communicating and cascading initiatives, systems, processes, activities, regulatory and compliance requirements across the business. The role reports directly to the Support Services Director.
You will be responsible for promoting compliance throughout our work, demonstrating leadership behaviours and setting the standards we expect everyone to follow. This role will require considerable interaction with our clients and operational teams, ensuring that all are aligned to our goals, rules and standards.
You will have a passion for ensuring exceptional levels of health, safety, quality and environmental standards are delivered; putting in place the processes and reports to continually monitor and maintain quality standards
You will be responsible for ensuring correct HSEQ reporting, recording, documentation management and safe systems of work; this includes regular inspections, audits and quality checks both at site and remotely
You will be responsible for ensuring the completion of verification inspections and audits, following up on closure of findings / non conformances
You will support the accident and incident investigations, promoting high quality reporting and closure
You will complete a weekly and monthly report on HSEQ achievements and issues identified
You will proactively address and manage any risks identified, communicating and driving improvements as well as close liaison with the other HSEQ Team members and external auditors
You will monitor Accident and Incident statistics, sharing reports at client meetings
You will support the contract on training and competency requirements, ensuring that the contracts are achieving the highest standards of training compliance
You will build and maintain relationships with the client
You will drive the correct and safe behaviours out on site and within the offices
You will assist with accreditation compliance and provide support where required, with standards, including but not limited to ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001, Achillies, CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor
You will support the contracts with quality control inspections to ensure that the correct standards are always in place, carrying out briefings / training for our front line teams and supervisors as appropriate

Health & Safety Qualification e.g. NEBOSH Certificate (or similar)
- Utilities experience (desirable but not essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence
