Energy ConsultantJob Overview

Are you an experienced Energy Consultant with a proven track record of delivering results in the energy sector?

We are seeking an proactive, and results-driven Energy Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working as an Energy Consultant, a strong background in B2B energy sales, and a proven history of successfully winning and retaining business.

In this role, you will work directly with business clients to understand their energy requirements, identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, and recommend tailored energy and sustainability solutions. You will play a key role in helping clients optimise their energy consumption, reduce costs, lower their carbon footprint, and achieve their sustainability objectives.

If you are commercially driven, confident working with business decision makers, and have a proven track record of achieving sales and client development targets within the energy sector, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with business clients to understand their energy requirements, challenges, and commercial objectives.
Provide expert energy consultancy and recommend tailored solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals.
Develop and manage a strong B2B sales pipeline, from lead generation and prospecting through to negotiation and contract completion.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with business clients and key decision-makers.
Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales, revenue, and performance targets.
Conduct detailed analysis of clients’ energy consumption, costs, and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
Present clear, commercially focused proposals and energy solutions to clients.
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to develop and implement bespoke energy strategies.
Use CRM platforms to manage leads, maintain accurate client records, and monitor sales activity.
Maintain regular contact with existing clients, identify additional opportunities, and maximise client retention and revenue.
Keep up to date with energy market developments, regulations, tariffs, and emerging technologies.
Provide a high level of customer service throughout the sales and consultancy process.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Proven professional experience as an Energy Consultant within the energy sector.
A demonstrable and proven track record of success in energy consultancy and B2B energy sales.
Evidence of consistently achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
Strong understanding of commercial energy markets, energy costs, and business energy requirements.
Proven ability to generate new business, develop client relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret energy data and translate findings into commercially viable recommendations.
Experience using CRM system.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to explain technical energy concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Self-motivated, commercially focused, and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
