Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food production and culinary arts, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall management of kitchen activities to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food preparation personnel.
Oversee food production, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and serving of dishes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations.
Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
Support the management team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
Handle customer feedback related to food quality or service issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Previous supervisory or management experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Familiarity with restaurant operations and culinary techniques.
Experience in hospitality or catering industries is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
Previous barista experience is considered an advantage but not essential. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to lead a dynamic kitchen team while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are upheld at all times.
