E&I Designer

THIS IS A LTD CO CONTRACT POSITION - 6 MONTH+ DURATION - BASED IN CRAMLINGTON

We are looking for a forward-thinking Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, producing high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed electrical and instrumentation drawings, including but not limited to:
Block Cable Diagrams
Single Line Diagrams
Wiring Diagrams
Termination Diagrams
Cable Routing Drawings
Cable Trench Layouts
Earthing Layouts
Lighting Protection Layouts
Instrument Loop Drawings.
Instrument Layouts.
Instrument Hook-Up Drawings.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Piping, Process and Civil/Structural, to ensure integrated and coordinated design deliverables.
Support the review, verification and validation of both existing and new design documentation, such as Specifications, Basis of Design and Design Philosophies, where required.

Skills & Experience

Demonstrable experience in electrical and instrumentation system design using AutoCAD.
Previous experience working within a design house/Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) environment.
Strong understanding of design principles associated with construction and engineering projects.
Competence in interpreting and understanding electrical and instrumentation drawings in line with their operating philosophy.
Previous involvement in construction projects would be advantageous.

Pay: £40.00 per hour
