Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across commercial and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical systems, and the ability to work with various tools and materials. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant experience to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain piping systems using appropriate techniques and materials
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently
Perform cutting, threading, fitting, and assembly of pipes and fixtures
Conduct inspections to identify leaks or system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Assist in the setup of scaffolding or ladders as needed for elevated work
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience as a plumber or pipefitter in commercial or industrial settings
Proficiency in welding, carpentry, and mechanical knowledge is highly desirable
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipework installation
Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is preferred but not mandatory
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
