Full job description

We are currently looking to fulfil a new position that has became available within the company for a Driver/Waste Operative.

The successful candidate would be required to work 5 days a week including weekends totalling 25 Hours per week hours per week.

Normal shift pattern starts from 5;30am till 11:30pm although this may change depending on workload. Weekends typically start from 6:00am until 9:00 am.

The successful applicant will be required to hold a full clean UK driving licence for a vehicle up to 3.5 tonne, and have held their licence for 2 years or more (for insurance purposes).

The role will involve the following tasks:

work to daily job sheet
carrying out daily checks to vehicle
loading/unloading waste
working to a time scale and visiting a number of different business uplifting waste & recycling material.
working in the warehouse with tasks such as cardboard bailing, recycling processing and general maintenance activities

Successful candidate will preferably have a good knowledge of Glasgow and surrounding areas. Also some waste management experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
