Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Production Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of laundry services within a hospitality environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and possess a keen eye for detail. Previous hotel experience is considered a valuable asset but is not essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality laundry sector and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Sort, load, and unload laundry items efficiently, ensuring timely processing.
Inspect linen and textiles for damage or stains, reporting issues promptly.
Fold, package, and prepare laundry items for distribution to various departments or guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels of linen and supplies.
Follow established procedures for handling delicate or specialised items.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle manual tasks.
Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary.
