Ghyllside Primary School is a vibrant two form entry primary situated in the South West of Kendal. The school prides itself on its holistic approach to providing an education that prepares children to be able to lead happy, independent lives in the 21st century. Our long serving and very successful Headteacher is moving on to a new role and we are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader to take the school forward in its next stage of development.

We are looking for a candidate who will be able to build on the considerable strengths in our school. This person will:
- be a motivational leader and have had recent successful experience at Headteacher or Deputy Head level
- demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- be a good relationship builder with the ability to connect with parents, staff, pupils and the wider community
- be able to lead, develop and inspire a high achieving team promoting teamwork and leadership at all levels
- have a proven record of successfully implementing initiatives to raise standards
- have a passionate commitment to inclusive education
- have the ability to establish a supportive and caring environment in which staff and pupils can flourish
