Permanent Educational Psychologists – Soulbury Scale A 5-9 £53,554 - £61,721 plus up to 3 SPAs £66,156 and market forces up to £72,999. Previously awarded SPAs will be recognised, up to 3 SPA.
Associate Educational Psychologists – Competitive day rates
Hours: 37 hours per week (Permanent Educational Psychologists)

We are looking to appoint on either a full, part time or job share basis, enabling you to balance this role with your personal commitments and / or consultancy-based work. We would also consider requests for working term time only.
We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced Educational Psychologists, however, we are also keen to receive applications from trainees due to qualify in September 2026 / 2027, who are committed to making a real difference for our children and young people, to enable us to deliver our vision and priorities.
Solihull Educational Psychology Service (SEPS), part of the integrated SEND 0–25 Service, is a friendly and highly supportive service where collaboration and peer supervision is truly valued.
Our role as EPs in Solihull takes us into exciting, applied psychology territory with schools, families and the wider community. Recent examples include our work in social inclusion with Specialist Inclusion Support, our ELSA programme, parent development workshops, PINS and our Trauma Informed project with the Virtual School.

In Solihull, you will be given the autonomy and dedicated time to undertake project work to develop your expertise in your own area of professional interest within applied psychology, such as developing training or undertaking new commissions with other local agencies.
We will balance your needs with the needs of our service, enabling you to work flexibly from home, or in modern shared office spaces. You will also be provided with a laptop and mobile phone, to strengthen our culture of accessibility and support.
We recognise the need to maintain our strong and supportive team relationships in an increasingly agile working environment by promoting regular quality supervision and shared team learning through regular team meetings and social events for those who wish to get involved.
Solihull EPS also has close relationships with both local and national educational psychology training courses. We genuinely value purposeful CPD at all levels and the promotion of research in practice, demonstrated by our clear commitment to whole service CPD and protected personal CPD time.
For this role, you will need an Honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent) recognised by the British Psychological Society, recognised postgraduate training and a qualification in Educational Psychology. You must also be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). However, in the case of year 2 and 3 trainee EPs, you will be expecting to have your registration confirmed following the successful completion of your recognised qualification in September 2026 / 2027.
