Full job description

Castle is a small and friendly, family-run nursery with a separate preschool on a school-site. We have an excellent and long-established reputation in the community and received a judgement of 'Outstanding' at our latest Ofsted inspection.

Responsibilities

Ensure the compliance and implementation of policies and procedures relating to safe recruitment, training and support for all staff to foster good morale, high reputation and to ensure that all regulatory standards are met.

· Promote the continued improvement of the organisation through contribution to the monthly management meetings and other management forums.

· To support, guide and assist Duty Managers in any matters concerning the day to day running of their respective settings.

· Take a hands-on approach in the settings to ensure that matters of compliance, policies, procedures and current action plans are being carried out.

· Carry out spot checks of compliance in the settings. Report back on issues to Operations Director on a weekly basis.

· Work with the Operations Director on updating, changing or implementing new policies.
