The opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join our in-house machine shop at Geosense.
This role combines low-batch repeat production of core parts with ongoing new product and development work, giving you consistent workflow alongside technical variety.
You’ll be working in a modern, air-conditioned, well-equipped facility, producing precision components used in infrastructure projects worldwide.

What you’ll actually be doing
- Setting and operating CNC lathes
- Running jobs from first-off through to low/medium batch production
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Supporting repeat production of core products
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI), prototypes and design changes
- Working with engineering to refine methods, tooling and setups
- Monitoring tooling and maintaining efficient machining processes
- Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks

What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Experience in CNC turning (setting + operating)
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience with live tooling
- Milling exposure
- Experience in a precision engineering environment
