Full job description

Maclin Group is a global producer of Chlorine Based Disinfectant Tablets. Recent innovation has given rise to an opportunity for a Production Line Operator in our tablet production and packaging operation based at our Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds facility.

This is a full-time salaried position working across multiple production lines and work areas with the ideal applicant being motivated, presentable, personable, and able to work as part of a team. Training will be provided for the range of machines and equipment used on site.

Some Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operating busy product packaging lines.
Controlling and adjusting machine settings to start and/or maintain product packaging lines.
Monitoring product packaging lines.
Maintaining high product standards.
Working to production schedules and meeting production task deadlines as necessary.
Cleaning and tidying work-areas and production machines and equipment.
Pick and pack orders accurately for dispatch.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks.
Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
Report any discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
Always adhere to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.

Required Qualifications:

Previous experience in a production, packing, warehousing or similar role is preferred.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling products.
Awareness of production line operations to maintain optimum efficiency.
Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

A good understanding of production and packaging lines is preferred but not essential.
A awareness of the importance of good manufacturing Practise and of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
Keen problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during operations.

Hours & Rate of Pay:

Starting salary of £26,500 per annum with a bonus system bringing OTE to £27,500.
We operate compressed hours to enable a longer weekend.
Typically, Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 4:45pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch, then Fridays 8:00am until 12:30pm with no lunch break.
22 days annual leave pro rata rising a day a calendar year to 25 days.
Auto-Enrolment Company Pension Scheme.
PPE and essential clothing provided.
Tea/coffee etc provided.
