We are looking to take on graduates and school/college leavers interested in joining as a Trainee Accountant in our Bexhill office.
This role is full time, with a salary of £24,784.50 per annum. All trainee accountants have performance reviews twice a year, with salary increases based on exam progress.
Please note it is a requirement for our trainees to be office based full time.

Trainees will study towards a AAT, ACCA or ICAEW qualification at Galloways, having either recently graduated or completed A Levels.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting Managers and Partners in preparing:
- Statutory financial statements for Limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Personal tax returns, partnership tax returns, and corporation tax returns.
- Ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
Personal effectiveness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Well organised with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage work deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail;
- High level of logical problem-solving skills;
- Strong team working skills;
- Technically proficient in IT;
- Able to confidently build relationships with both clients and the internal team;
- Flexible, positive and responsive to client business needs; and
- High level of integrity and ethical approach to work.
We support candidates through to qualification with a comprehensive training package including tuition courses, study leave and on-the-job practical training.
We recognize that most accountants fall into the profession, therefore we are simply looking for people who are able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy with the intellectual ability required to pass demanding professional examinations (minimum of a 2:1 degree or higher OR minimum grades of Distinction/* (D* / D), Merit (M) OR A* / A / B at A levels in relevant subjects), an eagerness to work hard and the personal skills with which to build effective relationships with both clients and colleagues. Everything else can be picked up along the way if you are willing to put in the effort.
