We're currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team in Newtown. This is a full-time position, although part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. The role would suit someone with previous accountancy practice experience or someone with strong bookkeeping and year-end compliance experience looking to further develop their career.

As a firm, we are going through an exciting period of growth and transformation, creating excellent opportunities for ambitious individuals who want to grow alongside us.

What you'll be doing

Preparing financial statements for a range of clients
Preparing tax computations
Verifying and reviewing client records
Producing client approval and signing packs
Submitting financial statements and statutory tax returns
Supporting clients with their compliance requirement

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Has at least 12 months' experience within an accountancy practice
Has good IT skills and is comfortable learning new systems
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
Is self-motivated and organised
Can manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
Is keen to learn and develop professionally
Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
