Full job description

Richard Yorke Ltd is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to do driving from Monday to Friday.

You will be required :

To complete daily vehicle checks and reporting of any defects
To ensure all loads being delivered or collected are safe and secure
To drive vehicles in a safe and responsible manner ensuring all transport regulations are followed including Tachograph and Digicard requirements.
Ensure compliance within the drivers hours and working hour regulations, including taking breaks within the guidelines in a designated ‘safe’ place
To handle goods in a safe and responsible manner
Report any problems or irregularities immediately to the Transport Department.
To keep vehicles clean and tidy

The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experience:

- Must hold a valid UK driving licence with C+E entitlement

- Digital tachograph and CPC cards

- If not British native - have presettled / settled status.

- Be professional at all times

- A maximum of 6 endorsements on licence.

- Class 1 Driving experience essential

Salary will be dependent on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
