Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and projects. Duties
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Schematics tools.
- Develop system models and simulations using MATLAB and Simulink to validate design concepts.
- Programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure seamless automation processes.
- Create detailed technical documentation including GD&T specifications and system schematics.
- Perform system design tasks incorporating principles of GD&T, CAD, and LabVIEW for control system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure project requirements are met within specified timelines.
- Oversee testing, validation, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance on mechanical knowledge and best practices during project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a strong background in system design and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CAD tools, and schematic creation.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and other simulation or control software.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and schematic interpretation.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing system integration, component selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with system design methodologies including control systems integration.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
