At Woodview Medical Centre, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Care Navigator to join our friendly, patient-focused team.
As one of the GP surgeries with the highest patient satisfaction ratings and Google review scores in Northamptonshire, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding care and excellent service to our patients. No previous GP or NHS experience? That’s absolutely fine — full training will be provided for the right candidate with the right attitude.
Main Duties of the Role
You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting patients both face-to-face and over the telephone. Duties will include:
- Care navigating and signposting patients to the most appropriate clinician or service
- Answering and directing telephone calls
- Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments
- Responding to patient enquiries professionally and sensitively
- Taking payments for private services and issuing receipts
- Carrying out a range of administrative and reception duties
- Managing emails, scanning documents, and updating patient records
- Supporting the smooth and efficient running of reception and waiting areas

Essential Experience
- Experience working with the general public
- Previous administrative or receptionist experience
Desirable
- Experience working within a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of SystmOne
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or AMSPAR qualification
Working Hours
Applicants must be flexible to work shifts between 8:00am and 6:30pm on a rota basis and participate in occasional Saturday morning shifts where required to support the smooth running of the practice.

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
