Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to manage a column of hairdressing or beauty clients and oversee the daily operations of our salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the beauty industry, and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
As the Salon Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of salon operations, managing a large salon team and driving sales growth. This would be a great position for an existing salon manager who would like a new challenge or an assistant manager who has the skills and confidence to take the lead and step into a salon manager role.
Duties
- Lead and manage a team of stylists, beauticians and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee daily salon operations, including scheduling appointments, managing inventory, adhering to financial guidelines and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve business goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and support to staff in areas such as customer service, product knowledge, and technical skills.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide feedback to team members to promote continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a personalised experience.
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll management, budgeting, and reporting on salon performance.
- Promote salon services through marketing initiatives and community engagement activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in team management within the hair & beauty or hospitality industry.
- Confidence to follow and implement salon operational procedures and best practices, with knowledge of employment legislation.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to organise tasks efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing both a column of clients and a busy salon with a track record of achieving targets is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire the team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both clients and staff members.
- Strong organisational skills to maintain smooth salon operations while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
