Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Butcher to join our family run butchers shop.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience of Butchery, meat preparation and food safety standards.

We are offering 20hrs per week;

Mondays 8am - 3.30pm

Wednesdays 8am-3.30pm

Saturdays 8am-2.30pm

Opportunity to work extra hours to cover sickness, holidays and busy periods.

Responsibilities, Skills and Duties

Prepare and cut meat products in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
Experience to be able to work independently on daily tasks with speed and accuracy, meet deadlines and prioritise workload
Be able to follow precise specifications to create our extensive " Ready to Cook" Meal range, mix and match meat packs ,christmas hampers and catering orders for restaurants
Ensure all meat is handled, stored, and displayed following food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation at all times
Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customers and staff
Carcass knowledge preferred but not essential
Operating tills and cash handling
Following daily cleaning schedules

Pay: £13.50 per hour
