Reporting to: Operations Manager and Owner
Location: Fews Marquees office and yard with some on-site time when required
Overview
Fews is a family-run business and one of the UK’s leading Marquee, Temporary Building and Christmas Lighting suppliers with a reputation for quality and professionalism.
We work on major events, festivals and film sets throughout the year and consider our business to be the best in the industry. In addition to this we also install Christmas Lights, throughout the winter period, into some of London’s most well-known high streets.
We need a full-time Maintenance Manager to join our team operating out of our modern premises in Hanbury, Worcestershire.
Competitive rates of pay, dependent on experience. This position will be paid hourly to ensure the candidate is rewarded for any longer days at certain points in the year, so there is an opportunity for an excellent level of take-home pay.
This role is truly unique with lots of variety and no day the same. Are you looking to work within a great team, earn excellent money, with lots of potential for overtime and up-skilling? The right candidate will have experience in general maintenance but will be interested by the prospect of learning new skills to manage our Christmas Lighting portfolio following comprehensive training across all our departments. We offer a comprehensive training scheme to support you within your role.
Purpose of the Role
The Maintenance Manager is predominantly based on our premises in Hanbury, but they may be required to travel and work on site if required. They will play a hands-on role working across the entire Fews business but predominantly focusing on managing the maintenance and refurbishment of its electrical assets (predominantly Christmas Lighting) and working with the owner to ensure general maintenance of the yard and associated outbuildings are kept in pristine condition.
The candidate will be a hands-on, multi skilled person capable of adapting to a new project while ensuring attention to detail and high standards are maintained throughout.
They work to ensure high levels of Health and Safety, reduce damage to company assets in storage and transit to site, with the aim of contributing to a slick logistical operation, to maximise quality and efficiency.
Fews are not necessarily expecting an 18th Edition Electrician or a Carpenter with 15 years' experience, we are looking for someone with a broad skillset (potentially obtained though the general building trade), who can manage maintenance projects and get hands-on while doing so.
The candidate will be expected to work on their own at times but also alongside others as part of small and large teams.
