Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by accurately dispensing medications and providing excellent patient care. This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment committed to patient safety and wellbeing. Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser is preferred, along with a strong understanding of medication administration and patient care practices. The role requires precision, organisational skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting patients' health needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring patient safety
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Respond professionally to patient enquiries and offer guidance within scope of practice
Assist in stock management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar healthcare setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
Strong understanding of patient care principles related to medication management
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards
