What does it mean to be a J Ll Leach After Market Area Sales Manager?
Your mission as an Area Sales Manager is to maximise and grow the service and sales of our air compressor range. This will be located in the heart of England.
External Sales Executive role responsibilities
- Increase revenue of aftermarket components, including but not limited to spare parts, mechanical/electrical components, pipework and extended warranty agreements across the territory in accordance with agreedbusiness/area plans & budgets.
- Plan and prioritise sales activities, customer/prospect interaction and marketing activities towards achieving agreed business aims, including sales growth and profitability.
- Develop trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Drive a value-based sales approach promoting our products features and benefits.
- Manage customer satisfaction and support warranty and any related supply issues pertaining to your geographical sales area and customer base.
- Manage pricing in your area, avoiding price erosion and in line with the pricing guidelines.
- Operate within the current tier-based loyalty structure and in line with the Company’s mission.
- Follow up all servicing leads, enquiries and quotations.
- Understanding margin and costs.
- Be aware of all opportunities and gather information from customers and competitors that may influence or help our company including understanding changing market conditions.
- Always exceed our customers’ expectations by dealing with them professionally, whatever their enquiry.
- Ensure a high level of after sales based on customer care, that always enhances our company reputation.
- Effective time management, with weekly, monthly and yearly goals.
- Completing all necessary administration in line with the current company procedures.
- Attend all in-house and external training as and when required.
- Monitor your effectiveness carefully managing your on the road and in-branch time.
- Continually develop and update your product knowledge.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
What are the requirements to be part of our team?
- Relevant HNC/ONC qualification or equivalent experience gained through time served service activities.
- Proven B2B sales experience, industrial sector aftermarket sales experience will be viewed as a distinct advantage.
- Good standard of knowledge of the compressed air industry.
- Experience of sales territory management.
- Able to use technical/professional knowledge and information.
- Able to promote, develop and maintain a culture conductive to quality throughout the organisation and to improve its performance.
- Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results.
- Able to identify alternatives to current thinking; ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems.
- Full UK Driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
- Lives within geographical area and able to visit Stoke on Trent office when required.
The ideal candidate will need to be an excellent communicator and have existing contacts. They will also require excellent product knowledge, be highly focused on sales and margin awareness and have a desire to provide outstanding customer service to take the business forward and maximise profitability.
Full driving licence required and be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday inclusive.
