Job Summary
SJS Laser Cutting is a subcontract laser cutting company offering laser cut and bent metal parts. The role is to respond to customer quotations, follow up the quote and win the work. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, engaging with clients, and supporting the sales process through excellent organisational and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Analyse project specifications and prepare detailed cost estimates tailored to client requirements.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, providing clear explanations of proposals and technical details.
- Maintain organised records of all estimates, client communications, and project documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to support bid submissions and follow-up activities.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery of quotations without compromising accuracy.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience in sales estimation or a similar role within a technical or construction environment is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Sound IT knowledge with the ability to adapt quickly to new software tools and systems.
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Organisational skills that ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency across all estimations. Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
