The Department of Physics has a stimulating, inclusive, highly supportive and friendly environment. In order to strengthen its teaching activities, the Department is now inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Teaching Associate to support the delivery of its undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Candidates will be qualified to PhD level in Physics or a closely related discipline (or have equivalent professional experience), be able to deliver established teaching modules and student assessment activities and to develop new course material. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be adept at communicating complex materials in an accessible manner, and be able to plan and manage their own workload independently. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in education and have the drive and enthusiasm to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching programmes and to enhance student experience. They must also have obtained a PGCert in Academic Practice or complete one during their probationary period.
