Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and professional Nail Technician to join our vibrant beauty salon at Glasgow Forge. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional nail services and enhancing clients’ overall experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills in a dynamic environment, providing a range of beauty treatments including manicures, BIAB, Acrylics, Gel and specialised nail art. The successful applicant will also have the chance to develop their management and social media management skills, contributing to the growth of our brand. A strong commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction is essential for success in this role.

Duties

Providing high-quality nail treatments such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, BIAB, acrylics, and specialised nail art
Assisting clients with colour selection and offering personalised recommendations
Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
Managing appointment schedules efficiently at the front desk, ensuring smooth client flow
Upselling additional services and retail products to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue
Managing social media accounts to promote services, special offers, and showcase work through engaging content
Offering specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or deep tissue massage as part of guest services
Supporting the team with general management tasks when required, including stock replenishment and organisation of workspaces
Delivering excellent guest services by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client needs promptly

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Nail Technician or similar role within the beauty industry
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence
Knowledge of current trends in nail art, colour techniques, and beauty treatments including eyelash extensions and makeup application
Experience in management or social media management is advantageous but not essential
Ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Friendly demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills to foster guest loyalty
Basic understanding of hospitality principles and guest services standards
Willingness to learn new skills such as deep tissue massage or barbering techniques if interested in expanding service offerings
